We are the nurses, nursing assistants, activities aides, housekeeping and laundry employees, and transport staff who work hard to provide our residents with the care they need and dignity they deserve.
As nursing home workers continue to face understaffing, low pay, expensive health insurance, and unsafe working conditions, we fight as a union to win good contracts that respect and protect us and those we care for.
Across Pennsylvania, we have won contracts with fair compensation, raises, affordable healthcare, and training and education opportunities. We also use our strength in numbers to transform the industry. We come together to demand our elected leaders enact strong legislation that increases statewide staffing standards, protects us and our residents when our nursing homes are sold, and provides transparency so that taxpayer dollars go directly to bedside care.
