(November 8, 2023) – Caregivers and workers across the state are celebrating: We elected every pro-healthcare and pro-union candidate that healthcare workers endorsed this year!
Across the Commonwealth, healthcare champions and candidates who have shown a commitment to unions and working people were elected over candidates who sided with rich special-interests.
Pittsburgh/Western PA:
Sara Innamorato was elected as Allegheny County’s Chief Executive.
Sara’s election is a historic victory for working people. She clearly supports the union organizing and won’t be afraid to stand up to special interests.
Philadelphia:
Kendra Brooks and Nicolas O’Rourke from the Working Families Party were elected to the Philadelphia City Council.
Kendra and Nicolas will lead a bold and visionary agenda for all working families in Philly.
Statewide Judges:
Every SEIU HCPA-endorsed judicial candidate won! These judges will help protect women’s rights, democratic and election rights, and can play an important role in labor and healthcare decisions.
We elected healthcare champions who will defend our union contracts, support working families, and protect democracy!
