Yesterday, we voted unanimously to ratify a new three-year contract with Aramark that includes significant wage increases and more inclusive language in our non-discrimination clause!

Highlights include:

  • New start rate of $15.05/hr and across the board increases each year of the contract of
    • $.87 in year one (retroactive until Jan 1, 2022)
    • $.62 for 2023
    • $.50 for 2024;
  • Additional $1.00/hr above start rate for cooks;
  • Additional $.20/hr for full time leads;
  • Additional $1.50/hr for temporary leads for hours worked;
  • An employee stock purchase program to buy stock in the company.

It’s easy to relax for another three years, but we need to stick together and continue to fight for our profession and our patients. We have to continue building power for healthcare workers in Pennsylvania.
