ALLENTOWN, PA — On Tuesday, April 1, healthcare professionals from SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania will join local residents, area faith leaders and civil rights leaders in welcoming the Fast for Families Across America bus tour to Allentown.

There, four core fasters — SEIU’s Eliseo Medina, DREAMer and Mi Familia Vota’s Cristian Avila, NAKASEC’s Dae Joong Yoon, and FIRM’s Rudy Lopez — were joined by solidary fasters in DC and thousands across the country who gave up food for one day and some as long as a 13 days in more than 200 events across the country to raise awareness and to call on members of Congress to enact commonsense immigration reform with a path to citizenship.
On Tuesday, members of the national tour will gather with local hosts at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Monument at 4th and Union streets in Allentown at 10 a.m. for a press conference before continuing on with a full day of activities.
