100 Caregivers Overwhelmingly Vote to Join Hundreds of Other Extendicare Workers
On March 23rd and 26th, CNAs, LPNs, dietary workers, housekeepers and other workers at Langhorne Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing in Lanhorne, PA voted to join our union. They join over 500 union members from six other Extendicare facilities in Pennsylvania.
After an overwhelming vote of more than 90% supporting a union, Langhorne Gardens employees are now focused on working with management to negotiate a fair contract that addresses their concerns. “I am excited that we won our union, now we can start working with management to get the things we deserve,” said Robyn Stratton, a dietary employee from Philadelphia.
“Now that we’re standing with workers at six other Extendicare buildings, we’re looking forward to our negotiations with management to make Langhorne Gardens a better place for our residents,” said Angelita Bauman a restorative aide from Levittown.
