Wisconsin Nurses Urge Voters in Pennsylvania: Don’t Let Any Politician Take Away Your Right to a Union Contract By Passing ‘Right to Work’ Laws!
Leaders from Pennsylvania’s Nurse Alliance traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to support their fellow nurses and essential healthcare workers organizing their union and demanding a fair contract.
Wisconsin nurses are rebuilding their union after the former Governor Scott Walker made it his mission to weaken unions and passed “Right to Work” legislation that effectively destroyed workers’ ability to negotiate fair contracts for members. Working families are still suffering from Walker’s anti-union agenda.
After PA Nurse Alliance members traveled to Madison to lend support to the union drive several nurses in Madison spoke out and recorded urgent messages to voters in other states, like Pennsylvania, to sound the alarm about the threat of any politician who supports “Right to Work” legislation to weaken unions and slash the ability of workers to organize and fight for strong contracts.
